Pall Mall Cigarettes

Pall Mall cigarettes are a brand manufacturing by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, situated in Winston – Salem, North Carolina, USA. Pall Mall brand was introduced in 1899 with hope to minister the rank and fashion society with the first "premium" cigarette. "Butler & Butler Company sold Pall Mall to American Tobacco in 1907.The same year Pall Mall cigs were subjected to some changes in their design - standardization of a cigarette’s length (known as a King Size) and a new way of tobacco packing.
Pall Mall brand reached the peak of its popularity in 1960, being the Number One brand of high-class cigs in America. In 1994 Pall Mall was purchased by Brown&Williamson Tobacco Corporation. They remained one of the rare cigarette brands filter less, in spite of their unsuccessful design. New filtered Pall Mallappeared at the market in 2001. Brown&Williamson Company merged with R.J.Reynold’s Tobacco Company on July, 30, 2004, taking the name of the latter. Nowadays R.J.R. produces unfiltered and filtered Pall Mall cigarettes for the USA market mainly, whereas outside the United Stated Pall Mall is manufactured and sold by British American Tobacco.
